Sorrento Success 2001! | |
Wow! We had a great European tour during April and May. The group performed at12 concerts and traveled through Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium and the Netherlands. The audiences were very enthusiastic and our hosts at each venue treated us like kings! We nearly sold out of CD's! Please click here for pictures. | We had another inspiring time teaching at the British Columbia Bluegrass Workshop in Sorrento, B.C. Canada. The workshop is known for it's conscientious staff and all the students benefit from the attention to detail. Thanks to all of you who request our presence there each year! |

Ken Orrick in Bluegrass Now |
Lost Highway was featured in the December 2000 issue of Bluegrass Unlimited magazine. The article, by Chris Stuart, documents the band's nearly 30 year history as well as covering each of the current members. Chris had some nice things to say about the group: "...their music seems to come from one heartbeat. They are a band in the fullest sense of the word, striving to create music that gets down to basics - soulful singing, tasteful playing, and an easy rapport with the audience".
| Ken Orrick was featured in the June 2001 issue of Bluegrass Now magazine. The article, by Chris Jones, is entitled Ken Orrick - Songs that Mirror Life. The piece covers some of Ken's personal history and documents many of the events that inspired songs like Dossie Lee and Tennessee Snow. "...over the past two decades Ken has accumulated a large repertoire of songs that are real, personal and unquestionably bluegrass".
